200 Monges Reserva Rosé Wine

“Colour: onion skin with bronze nuances. Aromas: subtle notes of wood, toast, forest fruits, stone fruit and aromatic herbs from the undergrowth (chamomile, thyme). Palate: elegant, fresh, sweet, very fruity and tasty.”

GRAPE VARIETIES: Viura and Garnacha and a small percentage of other varieties (Tempranillo, Calagraño...).

The grapes used to make this wine come from two small plots in the La Rad area, in Albelda de Iregua, which have a total surface area of 1.1 hectares. The vines are planted in a bush formation, with a planting frame of 1.30x1.30, they are over 80 years old and have a yield per vine of less than 1 kg.

The Viura was first harvested in 10-kilo boxes, carrying out a double selection of bunches, first in the vineyard itself and then in the winery.
After crushing the grapes, the paste was transferred to the press with an inert atmosphere, where it remained macerating for 24 hours.
After this time, the unpressed flower must was bled into a stainless steel tank, where it was cold-raked. The clean must was transferred to another tank where the whole red Grenache was added without destemming.
Fermentation took place spontaneously, with indigenous yeasts. It fermented for 10 days in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees, and then the free-run wine was bled off, transferred to barrels and left there for 20 months.

6,600 0.75 litre bottles of this wine have been selected.
