When we say that CUEVA DEL MONGE TINTO is the little brother of our Reserva 200 Monges, we mean that it is made with the same grapes as the Reserva 200 Monges, from which we have separated a small batch that does not require more time in the barrel or long aging in the bottle.
The result is a very expressive wine, with a different style – perhaps more modern – that allows us to enjoy it sooner. This circumstance explains why Cueva del Monge has a generic back label instead of the crianza or reserva label.
We can start a meal with this magnificent Cueva del Monge accompanying any traditional spoon dish and then continue with a 200 Monges Reserva for the main course and dessert.
