200 MONGES GRAN RESERVA 1994 RECEIVES 100 POINTS
Our 200 Monges Gran Reserva 1994 has been awarded as the best Red Wine of 2024 by receiving 100 points by La Vanguardia .
Today, the bottles that remain in the archive of Vinícola Real-200 Monges are in perfect condition and have gained nuances over time. We are specialists in long-aging wines and Miguel Ángel, founder of Vinícola Real, stated during his presentation speech that the philosophy of his wines is “to seek elegance over time.”
The 200 Monges Gran Reserva is made with 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Garnacha. This is a cherry-coloured wine with brick-red hues. No aroma, subtle, elegant and complex, ripe fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, tobacco, spices. Complex and long on the palate with no tannins and a slight bitterness. It is advisable to uncork and decant an hour beforehand to fully appreciate its full aromatic potential.
We have received this award with special enthusiasm as this year is the 30th anniversary of this first Gran Reserva vintage . A year in which we are working to pay tribute to it as it deserves.
